windsurf
by randychiara
Most of the Brazilian windsurf champions come from this club. Just like in Rio people leave their windsurf equipment rigged here at the windsurf center on the lake. Launching is from just accross the street or people drive to one of the many beaches for wave sailing.
Zé do Cacupé
by Julie_B about Estrela do Mar
Located in Cacupé beach, this is a simple restaurant, but with one of the most impressive views of the Island. At night, you can sit outside and enjoy the magnificent lights of the city and the bridge. "Anchova Grelhada", "pirão de caldo" and "torpedo de siri".
Ilha de Anhatomirim
by Deise05
Ilha de Anhatomirim is a fort built by Portuguese in order to defend the continent from Spanish invasions. Nowadays it is a tourist attraction. You can get a boat at Beira Mar Norte or Sul to go to this island; most of the packages include lunch because they leave in the morning and come back late afternoon. It takes couple hours to get to the island, but before the boat stops at the Baia dos Golfinhos where you can see the dolphins swimming freely! Beautiful!! At the island a museum brings expositions that include guns used by soldiers in the sixteenth century.
Brazil Is Beautiful

"Florianopolis"
One of my favorites among the 40-some beaches of Florianopolis. We took a hike from the beach up to the mountains. We crossed a swinging bridge that really made us giggle as we bounced along, trying not to lose our balance. In the winter, penguins swim and frolic under this bridge. Although we were there during Brazil's summer, I would love to return in the winter just to see the penguins.
