So I've been hearing that both Lagoa da Concieco and Praia Mole are great places to stay. Is one better as far as beach and nightlife? Also, can you please suggest a nice hotel in that area? Thank you!
Lagoa da Conceição and Praia Mole are neighbouring sites. And the best Florianopolis is around there. And Joaquina Beach is around there as well.

As a supplementary remark I may say these sites are around 10Km far from Florianopolis downtown. The public transportation are buses and bikes. There's a lot of public bus lines there and you may ask some native which one you shall use to go to your purpose. The brazilian link including timetable is

Lagoa da conceicao is the best for nightlife, the good thing is that it is close to Praia Mole so you can enjoy both. Last time I went I stayed at the Pousada da Giulia and I loved it. It is very clean and right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants.
We loooveeee to barbecue! I really mean it! It is a great opportunity to gather friends and family around a grill for a entire afternoon. The authentic Brazilian barbecue consists in a big piece of meat seasoned with sea salt grilled in a rotating skewer for at least 45 min.

Além do surf, o parapente é um dos esportes em alta praticados na mole. O nome da praia deve-se ao fato de sua areia ser muito fofa. É uma praia muito cansativa para quem gosta de caminhar a beira mar. Entretando para quem gosta de se estarrar numa cadeira ou toalha e ficar lagarteando ao sol, é a melhor pedida.
Praia da Galheta is a semi-deserted beach. Since the 70’s Galheta has been popular with naturists, although nudism is optional. Surfers also take advantage of the waves which generally occur well offshore.
I am sorry I did not spend much time in Floripo. This is a beautifully situated city on the island of Santa Catarina and also the capital of State of Santa Catarina. It is connected to the "continente" by a bridge which bears the same illustrious name as that of the airport.
It is said that there are100 beaches in the island of Santa Catarina. This is a favoured spot for argentine tourists
