Praia do Campeche
The same beach as Joaquina, but further south. The Praia do Campeche itself it is located in front of the Campeche Island, the road leaves you directly there. When it is breaking that’s the place to be. Needs big or good size S swells and W wind. Works usually during the winter on the coldest days. Some surfers compare it to Jeffrey’s Bay. It is for sure one of the Brazil’s best wave. The wage is a right which creates long rides, with hollow sections. Awesome even to watch.
When it is breaking always crowded, but there’s always one for you. Strong riptides, creating long paddles. Close to this spot there’s another good one called Riozinho (Small Creek). It creates hollow , powerful waves, with barrels and barrels. It is located north from the Campeche main entrance, close to a small sports gymn. Ask locals. With S,SE swell hollow rigths, with E swell hollow lefts. Best winds W or really light NE.
Beira Mar Norte
by Deise05
Beira Mar Norte is a Avenue that conects downtown with the north of the city, many people like to speed walking/run by the sea and enjoy the great views. One of the best spots by Beira Mar Norte is the Koxixo's bar; it gets packed with young people during weekends. Don't leave without checking it out!

Florianopolis

"Floripa"
Florianopolis is the capital of Santa Caterina state, the second most southerly state in Brazil. Half of the city is on the Island of Santa Caterina, joined by two bridges. Hercilio Luz bridge is a famous Floripa landmark, apparently the longest steel suspension bridge in South America.
Florianopolis is a very pretty island, with 42 beaches, forested hills and lagoons. In the summer lots of tourists from Uruguay, Argentina and other parts of Brazil come here.
I was learning Portuguese here for two weeks and had a good time.
"Lagoa"
Lagoa is a nice part of Floripa. There is a big lake with lots of options for windsurfing, kiteboarding etc. Also, nearby are Praias Mole and Joaquina, top surf spots. Lagoa is also home to the infamous John Bull and the slightly better Latitude nightclubs.
"Praia Galeta"
This beach is near Lagoa, just on from Praia Mole. It's a nice beach, very clean, nice sand and backdrop...
