caron beach

At the south of the Island we went to a bar to eat all different kinds of shellfish, something that abounds here. To get there we figured out that we needed to drive on the beach since the roads just stop sometimes.
Once inside we also noticed that there where millions of little notes left behind by visiters pinned to the walls. Some where almost 70 years old.

"Associa??o dos Pescadores da Arma??o do Pantano do Sul"
It's a very beautiful island just in front of Campeche beach.
There you can dive on the very littliy see and take a "trilha" to get to know the island.

Florianopolis has a main street by the beach which is no less beautiful than the famous AVENIDA ATLANTICA em Copacabana. The place is full of nice bars, pubs, discos, restaurants, usually where ALL happens at night.
Nowadays, also the nightlife in the beaches outside the city becomes hotspot, but the main place is this street,in front of the beach,in the city.
In the late afternoons, lots of guys walking with the dogs,jogging,etc..

"My last week in Floripa - January 2005"
Even if I had to take three buses to get here, all by myself, and then missed my plane, it was worth it! I had lunch hearing the waves.... This is a tiny sort of private beach at Pousada Do Museu, a historical house converted into a 9-room hotel, with a restaurant and a museum open to the public. They also have a small orquid greenhouse. Wonderful!
"North of the Island - Ponta das Canas/ Lagoihna"
Perfect for a quiet vacation!
If you don't want to bump with tourists all the time in Canasvieiras, Cachoeira or Ingleses, come to Ponta das Canas or to this tiny place, Lagoihna, right past it.
"Center of the Island"
Lagoa Da Conceiçao is my favorite place in Florianópolis. "La lagoa" is a lake that has more views than can be covered in just one visit. It goes from south to north, then forms a bay past this point, and it ends at a channel that goes to the sea, at Barra da Lagoa.
It's great to see people fishing here at night. You can get shrimp and other kinds of fish.
It's alive all day, with many quaint little coffee-shops, boutiques and restaurants, and nighlife is enchanting.
Lagoa is also very close to Mole beach, very popular with surfers.
I'll be putting a lot of information in my travel pages, so make sure to read about Florianópolis!
