Park Tower Residence Hotel: Busines accomodation

The Hotel residence in Campinas is especially planned for those who spend working days away from home. Park Tower has an easy access to all highways that comes into the city. Park Tower has 112 apartments with two bedroom versions: double and twin beds, living/dinning room, kitchen/bar and balcony. All have individual safes, personally controlled sound network, air conditioned, stocked minibar and cable TV. The hotel itself is kind of bland in it's lack of color and somewhat poor lighting. The size of my mini-apartment is good for 1 or 2 people. The hotel does have a resturant. I've only been eating the free breakfast most of the time and is adequate, although after a while the same thing everyday gets kind of boring.
The quality of the food is pretty good.

The TV channel selections and quality are very poor.

However the wireless internet access in the room is quite good as well as celluar phone reception. Using a smartphone or iPhone and an app like Viber or Tango the service has been quite good.

The hotel is within easy walking to resturants, bars, food markets, parks, and local transportation such as buses and taxis. Because of my work schedule, I've been able to use the same drivers most everyday, including weekends. I have found one good driver that even speaks english.

Flat Regente: Inexpensive Long-term Accomodation

The Flat Regente is a "Temporary Residence" flat where you pay by the month rather than daily. I was able to stay there for half a month for half the monthly rate. It cost me R$300 for 2 weeks, which is about $100 USD. The units are small, but have two beds (or one double bed), a kitchenette with stove, oven, sink, refridgerator, and small table, and a small patio. The unit was kept clean by the maid most days, though I found that there was no maid service on Sundays and at least one other day during the week.

The Flat Regente is run by the Leon Park Hotel next door.

The maid was also the caretaker of the place, and the two I saw working there during my stay were very friendly and accomidating.
