How cold does Campos do Jord?o get in winter? It gets very cold for brazilian standards, specially if you consider that Campos is not on the south of Brazil, where most of the coldest cities of the country are. The temperatures in winter will vary from 0?C to 15?, so you?d better bring a coat with you.
Even in summer, the city doesn?t usually gets hot. The temperatures shall vary from 15?C to 25?C.
EFCJ in Campos do Jordão

Campos do Jordão is served by an interurban railway from Pindamonhangaba (on the main highway and railway linking São Paulo with Rio de Janeiro). The line links Campos do Jordão with two tourist parks as well. See my Pindamonhangaba page for links to the various information about this railway, with some links to their web site.
This is a view from the train as it goes through the center of the city in the early evening.
The passenger cars used on the line are interesting for a number of reasons.
First, they involve a number of different manufacturers - English Electric motor cars, French-built trailer cars, and a few other odds and ends as well, including European streetcars, and a few German steam locomotives.
Second, most of the cars allow a great view out the front. Here is a view from the front passenger seat of the station in the middle of Campos do Jord?o.
As virtual tourist only allows for there to be three photos on this page, I have put some other photos on my Travelogue for Campos do Jord?o.
