Comfortable....top notch, for Guarulhos
The SLAVERIO Guarulhos, which used to be the Sol Melia Confort and then the TRYP Guarulhos, is the newest hotel in Guarulhos. It is a 27 floor building with all the facilities one needs to be comfortable: restaurant, room service, fitness area, etc etc. There is no real pool to speak of, however, there is a very small indoor "pool", if you can call it that, on the top floor along with the small gym, sauna and lounge - all of which are always empty it seems. For those who will spend time in the room - the room's are comfortable with good space, good tv in multiple languages, in room safe and minibar. What the hotel lacks is internet in every room - it does exist in some rooms (DSL) and it does cost mone. This is something that is being addressed .....The hotel had lacked a competent front desk staff - but fortunately with the rebranding of the hotel to SLAVERIO the staff is 10x improved with English readily available. The restaurant is good and the staff and the food are excellent. There is a German "pub" beside the hotel for those who need to get out -- bit expensive but at least you can get out of the hotel. There is a hotel shuttle that runs on a schedule -- but it is a Brazilian schedule, so be patient. This is a great hotel -- I've stayed at many in Guarulhos and I now say that the SLAVARIO is the place to stay. Great value for the buck. (Or Real, in this case)
