Hotel Pousada Mibamar, Maresias: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Just want to let other tourist know that this Hotel Mibamar and even the restaurants in this little seaside town is a big Tourist Trap!!
We start with this "Hotel" we are a couple with a 8 years old daughter, we arrived yesterday, we checked in, looks good in front, we were very exhausted after driving for 4 hours. They're charging R$380 a night but when we came into the room, it was disappointing, the TV was old, the air-cond, old and noisy as well.the bathroom really shabby with old taps & showers.
At breakfast(included) this morning I wanted simply BACON & EGGS !!again disappointed when they said, we don't do or have BACON????? So We say NOT RECOMMENDED !!
The restaurants hmmm been to 2 looked at 5 before that and noticed that the menus are almost similar i.e the meats, the pastas, chickens dishes, all at high end prices but of course the personnel were pleasant but hey!! we want good food on holiday not crap!!
Unique Quality: Their Brochure says WiFi but it only works near the reception area??
They charges R$ 1.50 for a beach towel?? Whats the point?? For R$ 380 a night towels should be FREE!! But They Are Always Smiling!!

Pousada Tubes Maresias: Pousada Tubes - Cheap and Chic in Maresias!
"Pousada" Tubes is a perfect place to stay when you go to Maresias - Brazil.
The place has comfortable rooms for low prices, including breakfast.
The swiming pool has such a wonderful garden, and the staff and public are very kind and helpfull. Wireless free all over the place.
Tubes is situated just 5 minuts walking from the beach, and all the restaurants, pubs and discos.
The nigthlife in Maresias is gorgeous, and the weather is good all the year.
Unique Quality: Marvelous swiming pool and comfortable rooms for low coast.

Coconut's Maresias Hotel: Good infrastructure and swimming pool
Rooms are quite simple with air-conditioning and no cable TV (only available on TV room). It's nor recommended to let things on refrigerator because energy is shutted down when you leave the apartament (usual in some hotels to save energy).
Infrastructure is just across the street. Swimming pool is good.
Some Brazilians are not very gentle and they begin to mark territory putting their sun lotion, towels and other objects on the table near the swimming pool even when their relatives arrives only near 11 AM. So, its wise to wake up early and take a nice place to view the beach from the hotel.
Unique Quality: Swimming pool and bar services on the beach.

Pauba condominium: Our house
There are some nice and stunning houses in Pauba condominium...we had an amazing garden, very handy hammocks, cool dogs and very friendly housemates, including professional cooks, magicians and entertainers:)

Excellent Deal !: Pousadas - Bed and Breakfast
The " pousadas" or bed and breakfast in Maresias are excellent with very good breakfast and very confortale rooms. What is atractive about staying in a pousada instead of a hotel is that , the prices are very affordable for the budget traveler. The prices varies according to the type of room or luxury offered; some are simpler others more sofisticated but all very confortable. It's a perfect option, after all it's the beach what realy matters !

Maresias Beach Hotel: Beautiful and Relaxing !
Maresias Beach Hotel is located right on the sand. The decor is from Colonial Brazil. The room that I stayed had a balcony and I could walk to the beach or pool . The breakfast buffet was very good with all the goodies ! I highly recomend this hotel. There are a lot of other good places to stay in Maresias.
