The city is to barely 89km of the capital of the state of São Paulo. I arrive in omnibus since the estacion Jabacuara in sao paolo. Delays between 1 hour and 2 depending the I travel. I was in April, the temperature was high with a very strong sun, average 32 degrees, is a tropical climate, one must use a lot of solar protector, caps, and a lot of water. I remain me in an inn near the beach the Inlet. That it is one of the but large beaches that there is, offers a rail for the bicycles that travels through all the fringe of the Inlet a great exercicio in bicycle or tambien to cause walking. Guarujá has all the services of a great city, shopping center, supermarkets, hotels, inns, restaurants. This very near Saints, there almost there is not vegetation, due to the intense process of urbanization. It can travel through himself in an I gave, visiting the central plaza, the Cathedral, the museum, parks, the port, etc. In the beach they are the positions of food, very well armed, with canvas chairs, chairs, parasols, mud huts, etc. There are palm tree and coconut palms, banos publicos and guard lives that travel through the beach. Since is dangerous the sea, above all if itself nothing toward the fund, where there is currents fortisimas, is very possible to be drowned in the zone. There are very strong winds, for the sports acuaticos itself well, but to swim a little complicated. Its water are tepid, the enormous beaches, with clean sands and views toward the noses, in a tip there is to do sports acuaticos as yet sky, the banana, Windsurfing, surfing and the kiteboarding, utilizes a gigantic comet for capture the wind while the sportsman balances in a board. Who likes to learn the sport will find instructors with experience. Can dive in some places. but the best place is the Park Estadual Marine of Laje of Saints. In the tip opposed of the beach, there is nothing of that, alone a newsstand and begins the main avenue. This the is the Aquarius Acqua World, its price is of 30 real, but for them you gave of rain, that are many, is an opcion. A windy, sunny, pretty beach, with great show of the nature.
Pele Played Here
by klarson
Santos is probably best known as the city where the famous soccer player Pele played for the Santos Football Club. The church in this beach scene is where Pele once got married.
I went to Santos mainly because I wanted to get to a beach while I was in Brazil. However, I was disappointed in that the water was kind of polluted and there were no waves here.
Later in the afternoon, it started raining a little. As we were leaving the beach, we saw a number of kids turning the beach into soccer fields to play on. Maybe that's how Pele got started...
Although the beach is not so great (I saw bottles and other garbage floating in the water), the park that runs along the beach is quite pretty. I heard that this is the longest such park in the world. It has both walking and bike paths.
