"Sao Paulo´s beach."

Santos is about 2 hours and a half from Sao Paulo by bus, but I would say that it´s sth like Paulistas local beach.
It´s not the best beach in Brazil, it´s quite poluted, but it isn´t so bad if you are in Sao Paulo and you don´t want to have a long trip to go to beach.

It is only a short ride to Santos from Sao Paolo.
You arrive and at first you are relieved at its compact size after the conglomeration that is Sampa.
A eclectic mixture of History, architecture and a modern day town, plus the fact that it is here that the people in sao paolo spend their weekends...

"Historical Centre of Santos"

Begin by walking away from the Bus Station and within a short time, you will come to the historic centre of Santos. At the Bus Station, there is a tourist information office which is helpful . Obtain a map of the historic centre explaining each and every building of note and a map of santos and the neighbouring areas.

"VT from Santos"

Gi is from Santos, studied Dentistry at the Dental School here and currently works in Praia Grande. I had not met her before and like most brasilians, she was very friendly. took time off from work to drive me around, through a misty and rainy day.
I felt that she has the true VT spirit in that she helped a visiting VT member acquaint with her city and assist with transportation and local knowledge.
