Where to stay in Sao Paulo

by Archivist99

We will be spending two full days, Saturday and Sunday in Sao Paulo late in February. This will be our only stop in Brazil. Can someone recommend a good area to stay in, that is near some attractions, shopping and restaurants? Hotel suggestions would also be appreciated in the 30 to 50 USD range.

Stay at either Jardins or Itaim areas... the best areas of Sao Paulo and close to main attractions, restaurants, etc. Good hotels might be a little more expensive than that though......

HI,
We have stayed in Blue Tree Towers Paulista Hotel, adress: Peixoto Gomide 707, close to main sreet Avenida Paulista. It was superior double room, USD 78 per room/night, inc. brekfirst, and we was very satisfied.
For shooping the best streets are arround: Rua Oscar, Rua haddock lobo, Rua franca...
We eat in BARBACOA restaurante ( rua Dr.Renato paes de Barros 65), they served the best menu meat all evening, high service and reasinable price.
Taxi is acceptable by price from airport to hotel and around the city, buses are also well organise from the airport to hole majors streets with hotels...
Enjoy..

Travel Tips for São Paulo

HAHAHAHAHA THE SISTERS :)

by RafaelTheSecond

They work to keep the piece and the happiness of people who really need, no need for food or money, sometimes poor people just want a single smile and some support.

For sure they do not like to be photographed, so when I was visiting Aparecida do Norte, our pilgrimage centre in the coutryside of São Paulo, I tried to take this picture, they noticed and smiled at me!

It was fun, I go to Aparecida do norte evey year to thank god for the great gifts of life He has always given to me!

Metrô/ônibus (subway + bus) (one-way single trip): R$ 4,10
