Old and fancy
This old hotel is a great place to be after a hectic night in winter. They serve a good buffet of soups in a fancy restaurant. The building is and but well maintained one.
Unique Quality: The hotel is in a walking distance to Teatro Municipal, Praça da República and other atractions downtown. But be careful if you pretend to walk around during the night. The closest metro station (Republica), a block ahead, is very busy during the day, but many people report robberies around at night. Vieira de Carvalho st., itself, is a very nice place.
