Nightlife in Sao Paulo near Paulista Hotel

by ssabres

Hi,

I'll be in Sao Paulo in a couple of weeks for the first time. I'd like to check out the nightlife but would like to go someplace where Americans over 40 wouldn't feel out of place. Any recommendations would be appreciated

Thanks

Nightlife in São Paulo is near Paulista Av, Pinheiros district or Itaim-Bibi district.
I got not hints at São Paulo nightlife. I live in Belo Horizonte. But I believe you will find some nice news at www.gringoes.com It's a site for foreigners who are coming to Brazil.

Gringoes is mainly an EXPAT site, not a tourist visitor site. Your information is as accurate as usual.

Hello there,

I can give you some tips about these places.
You can go to Na Mata café, Sky Bar or some pubs there we have here like Omalleys.
I don't know what you mean by over 40, but there is a place called Charles Edward that just people over 40 or 50 go.
If you want some more tips you can email me, I will be happy helping you.
Take care

Travel Tips for São Paulo

Sao Paulo may be a very rural...

Sao Paulo may be a very rural city, but as a state in general it has much to offer. You may want to visit the shore and the small cities like Sao Jose dos Campos and Campos do Jordao. The Sunsets and my friends, I haven't been there in years but my friends will forever live in my heart.

Sunday Arts & Crafts Market in Embu

by WingFoot

Every Sunday from the morning through the afternoon there is a fabulous arts and crafts market held in Embu, a few miles outside Sao Paolo. The atmosphere is festive and along with great art, there is great food.

A fun place to visit.

From international airport to downtown

by burger

From São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport you can take a blue/white taxi right at the exit from the building. But first: on the right is a round shaped office where you can tell the destination where you want to go and friendly personnel will calculate the amount. Fare from airtport to downtown (about 30 km) is 29US$ (79 R$). This service is safe and quick

Experience the Churrascaria

by cwest03

Sao Paulo is known thorough Brazil for their food. If you ask any local what there is to do in Sao Paulo they will tell you to go get something to eat. If you're going to dig in and you think you are hungry enough I highly recommend the Brazilian traditional Churrascaria which is a traditional Brazilian BBQ. Think of it as an all meat buffet that comes to your table. Sure there's veggies and salad but you don't want that healthy stuff to get in the way of all of that beef. Each table is given a little card which has green on one side and red on the other. All you have to remember is when your card shows green the guys with skewers of meat will keep coming to your table to show their goods. Turn it to red and you can sit back and enjoy your meal for a while uninterrupted. When you're ready for more, it's back to green. After a few hours at a Churrascaria you'll be done eating meat for a while as it is more beef than anyone should ever consume in one sitting. well I'll tell you, it's not the salad bar.

Morumbi stadium

by DrLeoLocke

Here is one of the most famous Brazilian´s arena... morumbi..located at São Paulo, home of a soccer team called São Paulo FC, this big stadium is a stage for many games and shows (u2,Rush,Madonna...).
You can visit it at saturdays, and also visit São Paulo FC museum. It´s free.
you can also find a store with a lot of Sao Paulo FC team products, shirts,etc...
