Embu ? this is an arts and crafts festival outside of Sao Paulo, which is definitely worth the short drive. There?s absolutely everything you could possibly hope to find there ? rocks and gems, handmade crafts such as windchimes and plates, feathers, and precious rock bookends. I purchased my (then) fiance a hand crafted marble chess set for a wonderful price, and I would say it?s priceless. Embu is definitely lots of fun! And the locals that set up booths there are really charming and welcoming. It takes less than an hour to get to Embu from São Paulo; catch the 'Embu Cultural' bus from outside the Tietê Rodoviária.
