Hi,
My girlfriend and I will be arriving from Europe in Sao Paulo at the start of November. We will be staying there for a few days and then onto to Rio.
We will be pretty jetlagged so I was hoping to stay in a reasonable hotel to recover. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel/motel to stay in a nice area of Sao Paulo?
Thanks,
Deiseboy
Not certain what you mean by reasonable but I normally stay in the Estanplaza Paulista and find it outstanding. It is around $100USD a night which includes a full Brasilian breakfast. Very good location in the Jardins district and centrally located for contemporary art galleries and museums and very close to the Trianon-MASP metro stop. The web site is www.estanplaza.com.br . If this is more than you are wanting to pay I would recommend trying to stay in the Jardins district.

Thanks.
We are and we are not looking for somewhere like that. We will be backpacking but at the same time we want to stay somewhere nice to get over the jetlag. Is there any cheaper accomodation in that area?
Still not certain what $ amount you are looking for but there is Tulip Inn Interative Flat at around $70 a night, in another district is Tryp Jesuino Arruda at around $60 a night, here is a link for hostels and cheap hotels maybe that will help you,

I can recommend the Akasaka hotel in the Liberdade (Japanese) district.

About $50 a night, very clean, safe, lots of inexpensive restaurants nearby, and right across the street from a subway (Metro) station.
