With a reputation as São Paulo's best hotel, expectations of the Fasano Hotel run high, and my stay at this discreet hotel in Jardins was nothing short of perfect. The hotel building is a small stylish tower on one of the smallest streets in Jardins, ensuring peace and calm. Around the corner, though, are the city's most expensive boutiques of luxury fashion and objects. The hotel's rooms are elegant and very spacious, but feel more like an elegant studio apartment than a hotel room. Inaugurated in 2003, the hotel is owned by the Fasano family, who have been running the best Italian restaurants in Brazil for a century and who also opened the sister hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The street on which the hotel is located, rua Vittoria Fasano, was named after the family's ancestor, and the choice of location for the hotel was probably no coincidence. The hotel's restaurant, Fasano, is also considered the city's best Italian restaurant. Naturally, prices match the reputation. You decide if it's worth it.
