You did not infotm me some hints like: how old are you; how great is your group;where is your hotel in São Paulo.
São Paulo has some nice tours. I will list some:
* Mercado Central
* Parque Ibirapuera
* MASP
* Excursão Alto da Serra, Pico do Jaraguá, Serra da Cantareira (Sightseeing)
* Bairro da Liberdade
* Santos/Guarujá (beaches)
* Museu do Ipiranga
* Every sunday there is tour outings supported by Tourist Government Centre
* Simba Safari
* Playcenter
* Nightlife at Av Paulista
Go for walking without fluent portuguese/spanish is a risky task. You may deal in agencies to get some amusing and safe pastime.
Many foreign skillful singers are going to São Paulo in order to show themselves. Elton John, Rolling Stones, Alanis Morisseti had been in São Paulo some weeks ago.

Travel Tips for São Paulo

Take a walk along Avenida Paulista. At one time this was THE street live on. Now it is THE street to locate your corporate offices. There are many cafes along the street and an upscale shopping mall at one end an art museum around the middle and a movie theater at the other end. Its not a very long street, but it is one that Paulistanos are very proud of. Spend a day and explore the side streets for a couple of blocks on either side and you will rewarded with interesting food and drink and some nice shops. Be warned things are a little more expensive in this part of town. My family. Many of my cousins live in the city. When I visit we hang out, toma cafesinho, shoot the breeze and walk around town.
ONE VERY POPULAR BEACH IN SÃO PAULO - PRAIA GRANDE
by RafaelTheSecond
If you are in town, you can take a car and in less than two hours you are in the sea, and Praia Grande is one of the most popular holiday destinations for the Paulistanos. It is not the most beautiful one, but it is for sure the most popular!

The metro is great. It takes you pretty much everywhere you need to go. Fast, clean, safe, and efficient. The major bus stations (Terminal Rodoviário - for destinations in other parts of Brazil) are situated at metro stations. There are several bus stations around the city, so be sure to know which station your bus is leaving from and at what time!
Superb Traditional Japanese Food Buffet!
by Bonobo2005 about Restaurante Sushi-Yassu Paulista
A no-nonsense Japanese restaurant with outstanding food.
I used the buffet 2 times during lunchbreak and enjoyed very much. The selection is enormous, the food excellent.
During the buffet you can eat unlimited (exception: oysters max. 12 p.p) at a fixed price unlike many other buffet restaurants where you have to pay per kilo.
Just realise that this is all about raw fish and hardly any meat, so not everyone will like...
Note that the buffet is only served at specific days / times (please check website) A great place spending a couple of hours exploring Traditional Japanese cuisine!
I only list this restaurant here since it was the best in this category I used....
A JAPONESE SIDE IN BRAZIL - LIBERDADE
by RafaelTheSecond
The signs are written in japonese, the local news are in japonese, all you can buy are japonese products, the food is japonese! Other city has CHINATOWNS, but in Brazil we have JAPANTOWNS...The Japonese are millions here, and one of the things I love doing in São Paulo is going to Liberdade. I usually go with my relatives and friends, but even alone, it is a personal law, everytime I go to Sampa...Liberdade is my stop!;)
Here you can see my cousin Isabel, she is sooooo sweet, myself, happy to eb in São Paulo; Marcio Omatsu happy to be in a place with so much japonese, he liked so much that now he is living in Nagoya, Japan and my fantastic Aunt Sandra.
