Heaven
Straight club. One of the most expensive and well known nightclubs in São Paulo. Entrance 70 reais(+/- 25 euro's) for men and 30 for women, 12 reais for a beer, 23 reais for a caipirinha.
The most beautiful people together, lot's of model-types and a good possibility to see a famous Brazilian. Nice girl at the entrance.
The night I was here the music was 'black music': HipHop R&B etc. Not my favourite music to go out, but that doesn't make a nightclub a bad one. The DJ's who played that night were very very bad, the music was old(not as in retro, but 4-5 years old) and bad follow-ups in their sets. 2 DJ's: both as bad.
The interior was, like most nightclubs in São Paulo, very humble and you don't see your money coming back into the interior. The toilets were nasty.
Conclusion
By far not worth the money.
Vegas
Relatively new club in São Paulo. Expect a big que. This is a so-called 'mixed club', gays and hetero's in one room, there are a lot of these clubs in São Paulo.
Not really expensive, entrance is about 40 reais(15 euro) but you can drink for the same amount. The other option is 20 reais and you will get no drinks. 5 reais for a beer, 8 for a caipirinha, 15 for a glas of champagne.
Music with ups and downs, it's 'popular' music they play so there is a possibility of Britney Spears but also Felix da Housecat.
The interior is not bad, relatively good for São Paulo standards. Not as many toilets as we hoped for.
The beauty-factor of the people is 'ok'.
Conclusion: You can have a good time or a bad time, you don't know in advance.Manga Rosa
Straight club. Says to be starting in the after hours, 3 o'clock, but already very busy between 1 and 2. Entrance is 45 reais for men and 35 for women.
Music is electronic, well known resident dj's who play very good sets. One of the strong points of Manga Rosa. Probably the best music I've heard during my stay in SP.
Staff is friendly. No camera's allowed inside, but they will save it for you, you will get it back when you're already outside(strange but true, don't panic).
The interior is not special but nice.
People inside are beautiful and open for a nice conversation although the music won't let you. One of my favorite places, maybe my favorite.
Club Nasty
Straight club. Entrance: 60 reais with consuming, 30 without. 10 reais for a beer, 6 for the wardrobe(if nescessary).
Music is 'black music'. The dj is not bad, but both the 2 times he played almost an identical set.
The interior is ok.
Beautiful people. Staff is not really friendly, exceptions are there.
Not my favorite place.
Most clubs don't have a dresscode.
- Always bring your ID, or at least a verified copy(there are special offices for this)
- Be aware of the rich 'alternative culture', São Paulo is famous of it's gay-nightlife. If this isn't your scene inform yourselve well.
- Mixed clubs are for foreign people(espescially hetero-sexual men) not always the right place to be. Brazilian men are very passionate about their sexual feelings, and that isn't different when they are gay. I have to note that this doesn't have to matter if you want to have a good night but expect questions about your sexual preference, also from the women.
