Casas para estrangeiros

by leandro_aur

Alguém conhece algo desse tipo aqui no Brasil?

Existem varios sites especializados neste assunto. Vou colocar alguns links deles aqui. Espero que sua colega seja sorteada e aproveite o país e tenha uma boa estadia...

Travel Tips for São Paulo

FESTA JUNINHA

by schurlif

This is not a LOCAL custom , but definitely a typical Brazilian custom observed as if a religious holiday each month of June across the whole brazilian territory.... The custom has some religious background , honoring some saints but at the FESTA JUNINHA you will not have the feeling that religion is involved.... you will rather have the feeling that all hillibillies of Brazil have gone loose..... The kids dress up as deepest country folks and go square dancing to happy folk tunes... all over the country June fairs spring up with booths selling pop corn , sausages , hot wine and more and others with tricky games for the kids . Kiddie fire crackers exploding at your feet , candy cotton sticking to your hands and face...There's a lot of dancing and disguising at these public Festas Juninhas too but here I'd like to show you some pictures of my daughters Festa Juninha in her school with her friends and teachers , pretty civilized and organized , yet the kids love it !!!
I haven't too many square dance pictures ( my digital camera wouldn't take any , darn ! ) , but picture # 3 caught Anna Bianca in the act when she for once got close enough to me....
If you visit Brazil in June , be sure to ask where the next Festa Juninha is and have some hillibilly fun where you probably least expect it....

Busy flea market in weekend

by bubblex about ?

Many things of decoration, stones, clothes and little take withes can be found there. Cheap and interesting. Brazil is the oringinal of precious stones. So if you just want to buy some stones as souvenirs to your friends and relatives it is a good choice. 5-80 Real
(About 3 Real=1 US dollars)

VERY USEFUL SUBWAY SERVICE BUT...

by RafaelTheSecond

It is more than one hundred metro station present in the main neighborhoods of the city, it has 5 lines and it is connect with the urban trains, whoch serve another cities too!

But it has one problem, during the summer the trains are unbearable, no air contioning system!!!! In none of the trains!

Marcio and I suffured in these trains in hte peak hour, it is just like Tokyo! :)

I would say it is still useful!

Food this good can't be in a mall!

by travelmad478 about Rascal Pizza & Cozinha

I went to this restaurant in 1997, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Rascal is a chain of restaurants, with several outlets in upscale shopping malls and one in the Paulista neighborhood. The pasta, which is homemade, is outstanding, and the salad bar is a religious experience.

Catedral Metropolitana

by MM212

Also known as Catedral da Sé, São Paulo's Cathedral dominates Praça da Sé, the heart of the city. The monumental cathedral was commissioned by the archbishop of São Paulo, Duarte Leopoldo e Silva, to replace an older demolished church. Work on Catedral Metropolitana began in 1912 and was mostly completed by 1954, but the towers were only finished in 2002. The Gothic and Renaissance design is attributed to the German architect, Maximilian Hehl.
