I stayed here during a 3 week business trip and while the rooms were as good (or boring) as they are everywhere in this category, the service was outstanding.
It is a good looking hotel in the commercial centre of town (a relatively safe area).
For my 3 weeks stay I negotiated a 40% discount. Weekends have lower rates and is including breakfast.
Unique Quality: * high speed internet connection in the room (bring your laptop);
* very helpful and friendly staff;
* many of the staff speak English;
* great breakfast buffet;
* roomservice free of charge;
* sattelite tv.
there is a small pool, sauna and fitness as well, it doesn't look very attractive to use.
The restaurant serves expensive, small meals (much better to eat outside). The rooms have no bath (only shower). Breakfast is not included in the room rate (except for the weekend...) and is Rs. 20 / USD 8 extra.
Directions: 8-10 minutes walk from Consolacio Metro Station (Paulista Av.)
My friend and I arrive late in the evening at Sao Paulo GRU airport and leave the following evening to Paris. Has anyone have any suggestions for a hotel for one night and things to do for one day (till about 15 hours) ?
Thnaks a lot everyone.
Hi,
It was much the same thing with me. I arrived late and was flying early. I stayed at the Mercure Sao Paulo Guarulhos. Special internet rates were about £22 (32EUR). It was ideal, very well kept, professional staff and free minibus to/from GRU.

Hope this helps.
