Old phone update, Please help!

Hi,
I have an old friend who lives in Sao Paola and we have not met for over 15y.
I have her phone number but it seems so that during 15 y phone numbers has been changed or added some numbers.
She lives in Perdizes, old phone number started with 55-11-263xxxx. So there is 7 digits should there be 8?
I am travelling to Brazil next week, and this infortion would help me a lot.

55= country code
11=city code
Yes, there are 8 digits now.
Add a 3 before the 263-xxxx.
(That was the update to most phone numbers a few years ago.)

There are some phone servers operating in Brazil. I will mention some: Embratel, Telemar, Intelig... Embratel is most used because it serves whole Brazil. Every operator has a number. Embratel = 21 ; Telemar = 31 and so on.
If the old phone number had been changed by another you may use the "Auxilio a Lista" service (Help operator)to get the new phone.

Brazilians are very warm people. Men shake hands, women and men and women with women kiss once on the cheek, when saying "hi". We love to hug, and be friendly. Brazilians also LOVE to talk using their hands... I think we got that from the Italians, I don´t know. So, don´t be afraid if somebody comes and kisses you! Hehe... it´s normal in here! We also talk loud and we love to smile!
Remember to be very friendly and to look cheerful, because Brazilians and educated and are very nice folks. Don´t ever discriminate against anyone because of their color, sexual orientation or mock a person´s way, because that´s a crime and nowadays people take these things seriously.
Clothing

This street is lined with clothing stores on both side! The shops are usually factory shops, selling wholesale to shop owners. Most of them will also sell retail (at a slightly higher price, though).
There is clothing to fit every taste and one pocket size: cheap! Most clothing reflects the latest fashions as well.
The quality varies from bad to excellent, so check before you buy. Also, many stores do not have fitting rooms (but they do allow you to slip the pieces over your own clothing to check for fit). Don't wear anything too baggy. Great for buying tops (wear a tight fitting one so you can try what you like on over it).
Skirts and pants are best bought in shops that have a fitting room (usually communal -but ladies only!- so wear nice underthings!).
I bough several embroidered blouses for US$ 10 each, as well as dresses and a great curdoroy jacket! About half what you would pay elsewhere.
WONDERFUL ROADS IN THE STATE

The State of São Paulo has incredibly great roads, very modern and safe road,this one has a great name, Ayrton Senna, our formula one legend! :)
It links Taubaté to the city of São Paulo, actually when you drive from Rio, this is a very useful short cut which will save one hour of your trip!

Pizza, Vinho, Cafe..
A very large, spacious ( tables are set wide apart), tastily decorated restaurant.
Pizzas from ovens set up against rustic walls. there are selected areas affording greater amounts of privacy.
I cant get over how friendly the waiters are in sao paolo restaurants. we arrived there very late and they were in the process of closing, but the bar tender made us a good cup of coffe and joined in part of the conversation.
MASP

Masp is one of our finest art galleries in São Paulo. The building is very modern and the excibitions are aways breath taking. I've already seen Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso at Masp, as they always bring the best of the exibitions from the whole world. You just have to check their schedule.
