Hotel Xenius: Bulk standard hotel

Most hotels in towns and villages in the north of Brazil are the same, thin matresses, small bathrooms, might not be the cleanest etc etc, but they do serve their purpose.

Hotel Xenius is no exception, the breakfast in the morning was fairly basic, as were the rooms, but at 50 reals a night, you can't really complain.

The good thing about this hotel is that its only about 5 minutes walk from the waterfront bar area, with an HSBC bank on the way, its 2 minutes from the local market and as several travel agents, and food shops nearby, the staff are friendly - provided you don't interrupt the football - and we had no problems with anyone whilst we were there.

None at all.
