Novotel
A very pleasent hotel some 10 mins from the center of Downtown Manaus. More ideally located is the Taj Mahal very near to the opera house but this place has become very shabby over the years and is not to be recommended currently

Cheap, Very Nice AIR CONDITIONED Hotel
I stayed here for about a week. All expenses paid due to work related purposes. The place was pretty cheap though, as you can see on the picture. It reads "diaria R$79.00". Dont worry, this doesnt lean you pay 79 reals to get diarrhea. It just means the price per night.
The stay was very comfortable, with air condition working all the time, and the room was well made too. However, the only things I would say is that this place didnt have a good restaurant nearby, and it would often cost you a taxiride into town to go to a restaurant and eat.
