Shy monkey @ a hotel zoo. Or maybe just sad? by LuisGuimaraes Rated as an excellent hotel, it isn't nearly as good as you would expect, but a luxury when you're coming from the dirty town center. We stayed there for less than half the price, and so should you, if you're brave enough to bargain for a while. Clean rooms with TV, average food, nice pool. I don't really need any of this, especially when my bed for the next days is gonna be a hammock on a boat, but if you want comfort, it's a good and laidback option. Plus, there is a zoo (!) inside, I don't really know why;but it has to be mentioned.

This is a huge hotel comples located quite far from the falavas of Manaus. There are tons of activities and places to go right from and in the hotel; such as: archery, swimming, beach, zoo, jungle walk, etc... The rooms are ok as well.
Large pool, and a nice mini zoo. Theme: HotelComparison: most expensivePhone: (55) (92) 659-5000Directions: Just 10 km from Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes International Airport and 16 Km from downtown Manaus.Website: www.tropicalhotel.com.br

Pool and surrounding rooms by PeterVancouver The service in this fairly expensive hotel was certainly up to standard. It is ideally situated outside of the city of Manaus in a quiet area alongside the Rio Negro
The Tropical Manaus Hotel, the largest luxury hotel in Brazil, has over 600 rooms and is situated on the shore of the Rio Negro, in the heart of the Amazon, only 10km from the Manaus International Airport and 12km from downtown Manaus. The city of Manaus is famous for its spectacular Opera House built at the end of the 19th century when the city was experiencing the peak of its rubber boom period. The hotel is well known for its Portuguese colonial-style decoration. The Tropical Manaus Hotel features spacious and comfortable rooms, all with air conditioning. The rooms with marvelous dark wood, colonial-style interiors would best suit those who want to travel back in time, and relive the glorious years of the rubber boom era. However, if your preference is the more contemporary, then the recently opened wing, with its modern decoration, would best suit you. The Tropical Manaus Hotel is a base point for visiting the Amazon rainforest and the hotel itself gives you a taste of what you will experience if you choose to go deeper into the Amazon. The hotel grounds are filled with trees full of singing birds and has its own mini zoo. Open since 1976, Tropical Manaus Zoo Gardens consists of a menagerie of approximately 100 native species of the Amazonian fauna, housed in a green area of more than 20,000 square meters in the hotel grounds. The grounds themselves are large and it can take well over an hour to explore them. Visitors to the hotel will have the opportunity to experience the Amazon, the largest rainforest in the world, without losing contact with civilization and the comfort offered by the Tropical Manaus Hotel will guarantee that your Amazon trip will be an unforgettable experience.
