My boyfriend and I were surprised at the range of places to eat, it's rather varied, even though Canoa Quebrada is a small place. On the main street we found a good selection and quality. While we didn't try all of them Cafe Habana stood out for its freshness and quality. They also happen to own the hotel we stayed at - Pousada Iguana.
I went to Canoa Quebrada only for a day while I was in Fortaleza. I left Fortaleza (with a tour bus) in the morning, and came back at night. It is such a gorgeous place ! I dream of being back to this place again ....
This is where you can ski down this slope of sand using your "bunda". Apparently you have an option to get or not get wet at that small lake at the bottom . They can stop the rope that holds where you are sitting just before you crash into the water if you prefer that. Then you pull yourself up using a rope back to the "lodge".
