The hotel is clean and modern. Right across street from the Meireles/Beira Mar beach.
The beach looks clean from the outside and even when you go in looks clean, until I saw the fishrmen bringing in a huge fishing net. Then I realized that the bottom of the beach is full of garbage....people were stuned when they saw all the plastic, dipers, cans, paper...you name it
everything but fish....the small fish that came with the net were separated from the garbage...and obviously they left all of in on the beach in which eventually the waves took it all of it back. The board walk is fun for watching people jogging walking etc.... the only incovenient are the small kids, begging, the hookers with their new found lovers (mostly) Europeans and the women with kids also begging.
