Paseos a caballo

by Fla

Sunsets in Jeri

by firelennon

During sunsets lots of people go to the beach, to play or to watch the sunset. Depending on the time you year, you might see some really colorful sunsets, and meet some interesting people on vacation from all over the world.

Walk on the beach

by ludogatto

If yuo have time it's nice to walk on the big beach, you can pass Duna por do Sol where all the tourist went at the evening to see the sundown from the big dune, then there are several jangadas ( fisherman boat) on the beach that is like a freeway for the buggy...but the scenary is great...take water and sun creem with you!

The village of Jericoacoara

by pure1942

The village of Jeri is such a unique and unusual place. There are no real roads, just sandy tracks and the only traffic is from beach buggies, the odd 4X4 and motorcycle (slipping and sliding their way down the tracks.) There is little or no street lighting and whatever light that is present is only provided by generators. Jeri is not connected to the national electricity grid due to its' isolated location.
There are six or seven 'streets' which lead down to the beach and smaller sandy alleys link these arteries. Along these streets are quaint restaurants, bars and shops. The shops cater for everything from souvenirs, to local crafts to paintings and Hand crafted art.
The bars are quiet during the day but come to life at night especially at the weekends where the nightlife is great especially down by the beach and through the central streets of the village.
Walking the streets is half the experience of Jeri, there is nowhere quite like it in the world and to just experience the village by walking around the sandy streets is unforgettable in itself.
