This is very cool..Pedra furada is Jericoacoara´s symbol...you can´t miss it..it starts with a truck ride into the sand, and here you can chose: you can go there across the beach with a jeep or you can go there in a truck, sitting like " pau de arara".When i was there, i went there with Araruna´s truck ride..
The truck left you near the site, and then you have to go walking between the rocks until you arrive there...
Pedra furada is amazing..when i went there we climb it, and the view from it it´s amazing...
I´m not sure, but in june the sun goes down and passes into the Pedra Furada´s hole...
Just go there and see for yourself!
The main attraction sight in Jeri is Pedra Furada, the arched rock which has become the famous landmark of Jericoacoara. This natural arch of rock is not in Jeri itself but about 10 minutes by beach buggy away from the village. the buggy will drop you at the entrance to the National Park and you can walk rest of the coastal walk to the rock enjoying stunning scenery along the way.
The best is sved til last however as the sight of the rock jutting up from the water with the sun setting behind it is truely amazing. Arriving just before sunset you can go up to the hole in the rock and let the cascade on top of you as the waves hit the rock and thunder through the hole. As the sun starts to set, take up position back from the rock to enjoy the unforgettable sight of the sun setting behind the rock. If you are lucky and come at the right time of year the sun will set through the hole. We came at a good time and the hole in the rock was illuminated beautifully by the setting sun.

After waiting on Sunset Dune for the sun to hide, most of the people continue the early evening activitiy. It's a tradition to attend the performence of capoeira which happens every day all year round on the central beach. Capoeira is an Arfo-Brazilian martial art, which historically was disguised as a dance form, due to it being prohibited by the government.
I was there every evening since I really enjoy this beautiful harmony of battle, movement of the body and music :)
