Windsurfing

Jeri is presently considered as the best place in the country for windsurfing due the excellent climatic conditions: calm ocean, warm water and constant winds. Every year more and more foreigners, including professionals, spend the season in Jeri to perfect their technique. Many natives try out their skills as well.
It is possible to windsurf at any point on Jeri beach up to the curve in the Guriu river and also on Lagoa Paraiso which is well suited for beginners. The weaves aren't huge in Jeri, rarely exceeding 2 meters, but combined with the strong winds blowing with the waves, they work as a catapult, tossing you upward. Malhada beach on the bay's east side is often frequented by surfers.
With constant year round winds, windsurfing is possible in any season. However, the best time is the second half of the year, from July to January, with the peak months being August and September. The best time to surf is around 3pm.
Horse Riding

Horseriding in Jeri is very popular. It's perfect for discovering of the surroundings. You can rent a horse and ride along the beach, visit Pedra Furada, the near hills or mangrooves. It is suitable also for those who never ridden a horse before.
It's possible to arrange it with the guide to accompany you although most of the people ride on their own. Don't worry, the horses are very calm and get used to the activity!
Lagoa Azul

With the buggy tour they take you to a nice quiet lagoon named Lagoa Azul.
In the region it's normal to find this lagoon where the water is mixed by the salted and not salted water, or only not salted, but it's seems to be at the seaside.
The palce it's famouse and you can reach a little beach restaurant passing the lagoon by simply boat...here you cna find fresh seafood, water and other drinks... a little bit more expensive but on the blue!
Lagoa do Paraiso

This is very great..you can´t miss Jeri ´s salt lakes..one of them is lagoa do paraiso,a beautifull place with blue,green water, and a wonderfull place to relax body and enjoy the sun...when you were there, ask the local people how to came there...isn´t too far, but it is away from the central beach.
there is a little bar and restaurant,with good food and a good beer...just imagine..sitting there,watching blue sky,hot sun,fresh shadows and ice beer...hmmmmm.....
Feel the Sensation of Freedom

In spite of endless activities, relaxing in a hammock with your favourite book is still one of the most pleasurable things to do in Jeri, especially during the hot days, when one is not able to do anything else. If even this is quite an effort for you, then just enjoy in a hammock and feel the sensation of freedom that the place transmits :))
The best places to buy hammock are Mercado Central in Fortaleza and various shops in Belem's Comercio district (depend on the direction you come from). You can find a great selection in Jeri too, you only pay a bit more.
