Hotel Pousada do Buriti: The Best in Lencois Maranhenses

I booked through a travel agency a all inclusive trip to Lencois Maranhenses, with hotel and all meals included, as well as transportation to and from the airport. I have to say, it surprised me the service and the accomodation. I wasn´t expecting a great place, since it´s 3 hours by car from the capital, São Luis, but I found a spetacular Pousada, great people and great service. It has a pool in the center of the hotel, and the waiters serve beer to you wherever you are. You can also have lunch or dinner in the restaurant or by the pool, which makes everything comfortable and cozy.
I stayed there with my wife for 5 days, and each one of them was really enjoyable. The tours to Lencois Maranhenses, the tour to the dunes and some small villages, and even the boiacross was very nice, always with experienced and good mood guides. I recommend this hotel, and also this destination.

Just keep in mind, if you go in the end of the year, drinks lots of water and wear light, short clothing, because it is very hot and dry. And a bottle of insect repellent is a good thing too.

The food is simple and tasty. The hotel is in the center of the town, so you can move around easily, and the hotel´s employees are well aware of things to do or go around there.
The room was great, with air conditioner, minibar, and a hammock just outside of the room.
