Sol Melia: Melia's Hotel
We wanted a hotel on the beach and the Sol Melia because our daughter's name is Melia. It turned out to be a very nice hotel. The staff is kid friendly and the staff speaks English. Since the Melia is at the end of the strip, sightseeing was part of walking to the other end. Every evening, there was a bizzare and show. We watched an amazing street capoira show.
We reserved a two-room suite for about $70/night. The pool is a little small and the view is skewed but you get the idea. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. Plus, they were patient with children.
