great place to stay

I found everything at Hotel Regente to be excellent. Starting with the staff at he front desk. I have special needs, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was an extensive buffet. Some days manioc pancakes were made to order. I was there in February 2005, and they were just starting a major renovation throughout the hotel.
There was not an elevator to the mezzanine level where the breakfast restaurant is. The restaurant is accessable only by a staircase.

Unique Quality: From my comfortable, upper floor room I had a view of the Amazon, so wide at this point that the opposite shore was out of sight.
