Cloak room/luggage room
by triassicpark1
Hi all,
Is there a safe place to keep my luggage in a cloak room in the bus or the train station. I am taking the bus from Iguassu and arriving in the morning to Curitiba at 7 AM. I am taking the train journey at 8 AM. Is there a safe place to leave my luggage in the vicinity. Please help.

Oi,
When you get into the Rodoviaria (bus station) in Curitiba, look for the baggage storage room, around Section A or B, I believe. The train station is about 50 meters from the rodovaria.
From your planned departure time, I'd guess that you are going to take the train tour to Paranagua, right? It IS a great trip.....BUT....after traveling all night, you might want to rest up some before you travel again. Within a few blocks of the rodovaria are several reasonable hotels in the $60 to $70 reais range (on Mariano Torres). If money is a problem, there is a hostel just off of Sete de Setembro (ahhhhh, to the left of the rodovaria, about 3 - 4 blocks). Or, check out the Hotel Lumini, Rua General Carneiro....about 2 blocks away, for about $35 reais a night.
Curitiba is a GREAT place to visit! Check out the street fair on Sundays, near the Lago da Ordem/Pca. Garibaldi. Boa viagem!

Travel Tips for Curitiba

Brazil is a land of enormous contrasts, not just as to what concerns the natural environment, but the social environment too! By UN statistics, the bad division of wealth is the most acute in the World, even worse than in Arab gulf countries.
A typical field of confrontation is land property rights; in the picture, you may have a look at a peaceful protest of Rural Workers Union in face of the Governor's Palace in Curitiba.

"Curitiba Capital of the state Parana"
the second lasy burgomaster( architect and progressief politician), make the transportation so cheap that nobody takes the car.
The shopping street is car free. And there is a main shopping street called ."Rua 24 Horas" the shops are 24/24 h open.
"Transportation"
Very safe you don't need to walk on the street to take the bus.
