    Just down the street from Rua 24 hours (a street with shops and coffee shops open 24 hrs a day) is the Parthenon Aspen, part of the Accor hotel chain. Great place --- good clean accomodations for a great price. Excellent staff, very helpful with a great knowledge of English. (very helpful for those of us not speaking Portuguese)

    Directions: Close to Rua 24....walking distance to downtown, short cab ride to train station.
