Latin triangle-Rio, Iguassu falls, Buenos Aires
"The girl fron Ipanema"
I spent 4 days in Rio, actually on Copacobana Beach. The weather was perfect, people exceptionally nice, food was great. Best of all I went hang glidding for the first time. What a rush it was fantastic. I was the girl from Ipanema- we landed on Ipanema beach.
"Iguassu Falls"
The next stop was the Iguassu falls. Having been to Victoria falls I felt a little jaded, but not for long- these falls are very impressive. The walkways along the route put you right over the cataracts. We took the zodiac boats into the falls- got soaked, and felt the power of the water.
Our hotel was the Rafain Palace. More like a resort than just a hotel. I would have liked to have more than 2 days here.
"Buenos Aires- Tango Forever"
My first big city in South America. Lots of hustle and bustle, reminiscent of New York. Lots to see. Evita is still important here. Boca district loads of fun. Heading back for a couple of days in Feb. 07 on my way to Antarctica.
