please advise

Hello,
My friends and I are travelling to Brazil at the end of July and have about 10 days to explore. We came up with the following itinerary and flights work but I am wondering if it looks "do-able" for sightseeing purposes. We just want a taste of each place. Old-time travellers, please comment.
-arrive in Sao Paulo on day 1
-bus to Ilhabela and stay there for night of day 1
-bus to Rio and stay there for day 2 & 3
-fly out of rio to manaus on the night of day 3
-do amazon tour for day 4,5,6
-day 7 fly to salvador, arrive there at 12 pm
-day 8 leave at 12 pm and arrive in Natal at 2 pm
-day 9 leave Natal for home

any comments are much appreciated. Thanks.

Wow, that's a lot of travelling for a 9 day trip. You are going to be spending an awful lot of your vacation packing, going to the airport, waiting for the plane, etc. I've done something similar and didn't find it very relaxing at all.

Any particular reason for visiting Natal? It's not one of the popular tourist spots. I think Iguacu falls is a must see tourist attraction. You need a whole day to see the Argentina side, and half a day for the Brazilian side as a minimum.

Since it looks like an Amazon tour is high on your list, how about
3 days Amazon tour
1 day travel to/from Manaus
2 days Foz do Iguacu
3 days Rio

Depending on your flight connections, you might stay a day in Salvador or Brasilia, etc and a day less someplace else.

i think you're losing to much time travelling around but that is just my opinion. i'd stick just to a couple of locations. other then that looks great to me.

Travel Tips for Natal

Packing List

by mocneto

Be careful when suntanning. Due to the nice breeze on the coast the person doesn´t feel the sun burning the skin. Even you are hidden from the sum, be sure to protect your body with a powerful sum block lotion. Clothig, shoes - Don´t forget confortable open sndals (leather or rubber), sun screen, t-shirts (avoid dark colours for they absort the heat).
Avoid walking alone at later of night in desert places which can be dangerous. Use can to use taxis wich security, but the driver usualuly don´t speak english. I recommend you bring a pocket dictionary English-Portuguese-English, you can to buy in the local airport.

Rent a Buggy and go to dunes

by akkipaa

Take a buggy for two days, first to north and spend second day in Pipa beach in south

It's easy, you can find some english speaking buggy drivers, no need to drive and the drivers knows the places worth of visiting. It's nice, hot and sandy!

Sand, sunshine and moonlight besides the Atlantic

by akkipaa

If only you could imagine: temperature +33 (29 on nights), sunshine, almost all the time, warm water, breezy winds, endless beaches, without a single man, full moon, forro, some samba, caipirinhas, camaroes and friendly people.

Now I can!

"Natal - Capital of Estado do Rio Grande do Norte"

"Ponta Negra - Village on the Beach"

Atlantic ocean is swiping the beach of Ponta Negra so heavily that the only possible hobbies are wind surfing, sky surfing and all other surfings. Swimming is not impossible but makes gyms needless because of needed heavy workout against sex feet waves.
