Hi, Peji!
I live in Fortaleza and I've already been to Natal...
I suggest you to visit Presídio, Morro Branco, Praia das Fontes, Canoa Quebrada, Redonda, Pipa...
I think it will be easy to find cheap inns, restaurants...
Good luck! =)

Hi there,
I can't really help you choose a hotel because this will highly depend on your own personal needs, and there are a lot of interesting places and even a wonderful hotel with natural pools, but I can tell you that you'll find no need for a hotel if you're coming to Natal straight from Fortaleza it's just a 5 hour trip by car. The only thing I recommend is that you leave Fortaleza around six a.m. because it gets awfully hot around noon, even with airconditioning in the car. One other thing; be careful with animals, specially donkeys and cows, on the road. They can cause serious accidents. Try not to travel at night because the road ( they have the nerve to call it a highway) is badly kept and there are holes everywhere.

if you wanna travel most by the beach/sand you get a more beautifull scenary but you better hire a local driver.
if not just go by some half decent roads and visit every beach with a good access.

Travel Tips for Natal
excursions in Natal
by romarioo
t's a must t make contact with the boys of www.brazil4ever.com ! They showed us everything for low prices. As a matter a fact these are dutch guys, that live for many years in Natal and do their job with love for Brasil. my almoço (lunch) with the locals on our Pipatrip with brazil4ever.com.
Natal Shopping
by madvex
Natal Shopping is the name of the local mall in Natal. About 5 minutes drive from Ponta Negra, this is a moden, multi-floor mall with everything you'd expect a mall to have - lots of shops, food court, movie theatre, etc.
You can find all those things your forgot, not to mention TONS of gifts for the family back home - all at great prices.
The only things expensive in Brazil are gold and electronics. The rest is shoppers paradise! Get excellent deals on all kinds of clothing, shoes, and especially on crystal figurines! All at 1/2 or less than the price you might pay in the USA.
On the Main road outisde Natal, you'll pass this mall on the way in fron the airport.
Dune Games - Sand Slalom
by akkipaa
When you are on buggy tour, you can find a place where you can dive to little lake with skiing in the sand.
The price is four reals, so only your mind is hedging the experience (the speed is not as fast as in snow).
northern and southern coasts

"Litoral Norte Northern Coast"
My first tour in Natal would be a buggy ride on sand dunes. I thought of Sandy Point in Victoria, Australia where I went once to get away from town; but there the dunes are ardently protected, and not even walkers, let alone buggies, can encroach upon their forms. I'd been assured that in Natal accredited drivers only did the trip, and they followed strictly laid out tracks. OK, I thought, let's try it. Natal is one of a string of exquisite sub-tropical beach-side cities along the northeast coast of Brazil. It's the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. You are told when you arrive that this is "the city of eternal sun". I stayed in town, adjacent to the beach, and for me at least the slogan did hold true. I had perfect beach weather every day.
Questions and Answers
Q: Looking for e-mail address from www.brazilf4ever.com "Is there somebody who can give me the e-mail address from www.brazil4ever.com. In 2008 we made some excursions with the Dutch Guy..."
A: "The website you give no longer appears to exist, so one can perhaps assume that the email address no longer exists either and the people who were employed have moved on..."
