Imira Plaza Hotel...
Imira Plaza Hotel Internacional. Very pleasant, out of the city proper, closer to airport (but not within hearing distance). Open air dining rooms, one night when I was starving and dinner was over, someone made a steak sandwich for me with all the trimmings (salad, potato, etc.) very accomodating.
Their web site states that a single room starts at 150R, which is about $90US. Prices are very reasonable in Brazil, and lodgings vary accordingly. This was considered very nice but not deluxe.
Unique Quality: It is on the beach, has pool, tennis court, etc. Across the street from the National Dune Park.
