Beachwalk
The walk that is just beside of the beach in Ponta Negra is just a few years old and several km long.
If you dont want to walk in the sand you can walk here and just go down on the beach where you want.

The Hula Hula drink is made of an pineapple. They mix the pineapple fruitmeat with different tastes. You can get it with alcohol, or without.
An suggestion is to chere this drink with someone, because it is qutie big...and if you drink a Hula Hula alone you maybe dont want to see a Hula Hula in a while...a least that was mine experience...:-)
The Center of tourism had functioned as a House of Detention until the decade of 60. It was inaugurated in 1976 and is located on the top of a hill with a privileged sight of some urban beaches in Natal and part of the city. Besides providing touristic information, it has many little stores installed in what was once the prison cells, and filled with the most varied craftsmanship (carnauba fiber, sisal, ceramics, embroiderings, typical products and foods...), an art gallery, an antiquary, a night club and a restaurant.
If you go to Natal, you really have to go to a buggy tour on the sanddunes north of Natal.
You want regret it!
You must go with a licenced driver with the buggycar.
First you cross the Natalriver and on the other side you can see how many Brazilians live, and it is intresting to see that.
When arriving to the dunes you go up and down like in an rollercoster, i can tell you many of us (inc. me) was screaming a lot. After a while it is much more flat landscape and you go on the beach right beside the sea.
You do have several stops during this tour, like "activity stations" where you can do different things (see photos and discruptions), swim in small lakes, eat.....for an extra fee ofcourse.
The tour takes a day, and it is surely worth it!!
On the top of a sanddune...
,,and when down again..
There are many poor people in Brazil. When you go to and from the buggytour you go through areas like this. It is intresting to see, and get you a bit of reminder that everything is not that fashionable as in the more touristic Ponta Negra.
This is one of the so called "activity stations ore break". Tommy was the only one who dared to go to this flight, he still think that this flight was fantastic.........but there was stops every one hour with different things to do...
Sanddunes and in the horizon the skyline of Natal
During the buggytour you have to cross some rivers. So you must go with a "carferry" to cross it.
A littel bit smaller than the carferries we are used to go on in Europe..........:-)
This was "our" ferrycapten....
