All about beach. The usual stuff,don't forget,the wind always will keep your feeling of "burning" be hiden,but you're burning! Good shoes for walking in the Atlantic Rainforest area,when walking near the swamps ( manguezais),try not to wear short paints,the mosquitos will have a banquet on your legs!!
Pipa was fantastic- it is prime beach territory. The climate is generally arid, so don't expect a jungle. The town seems to exist primarily on tourism, and does have a good tourist infrastructure. Like many towns in Brazil, it comes alive at night. There are quite a few tourists here from all over the world, most seemed to be relatively young, though some were middle-aged. I would hazard a guess that 5-10 years ago it was a backpacker's dream vacation, with not too many people. But now there are a lot of pousadas and it is only a matter of time before a sizeable hotel is constructed. Go to Pipa before that happens.
