This region is basically the cities of Buzios,Cabo Frio and Arraial Do Cabo.
Arraial Do Cabo is an incredible peninsula with seven attarctive beaches.
Here the locals are a bit more innocent and less exposed to the volum of tourism that the neighboring towns experience.
However,the cobblestones streets and crystal green water create a magic that is nearly lost in our high tech fast paced world!

DUNES

The beauty of the dunes starts in Cabo Frio,on the way to Arraial you have "DAMA BRANCA" dunes(the white lady).
The dunes can be dangerous because of robberies,so get advise from the locals before heading out to the beaches and dunes!!!

Our second home

"Arraial do Cabo"

We are a family of five from Bodoe in Norhtern Norway, me, my wife Inger Lise, Britt Charlotte (17), Camilla (10) and Martin (9). We bougt a house in Arraial do Cabo, 160 km East of Rio de Janeiro, two years ago and we visit Arraial 4 weeks every Easter. The childrens just love this place and next Easter my parents and my brother and his girlfrend are joining us.
We travel a lot within the region, renting a car in Cabo Frio (cost 25$ pr 3 weeks). The seven beaches in Arraial do Cabo are all beatiful and exept of Praia Grandes large waves, they are all good for the children. The food is cheap with large portions and the people are just great. We are all just counting days for our next trip (12 March 2005)

Our house is located only 300 meters from the beach Paraia dos Ansjos. Our favorite beach is Praia do Forno, which can only be reached by foot or by boat.

Arraial do Cabo

Arrail is known as one of the best diving sites in Brasil. Here you'll find many diving operators who offer good chances to check the underwater world. The water is cold, very cold, but the visibility is great and the place offers different styles of diving, from easy to shipwrecks and caves as well. The beaches of Arraial are superb, no comments, just go and check for yourself
