best beach wedding location(s)
I'm getting married in Buzios too! I unfortunately will not get the opportunity to see the area before we travel for the big event, so this makes planning difficult. I am hoping to get some good suggestions on which of the many beaches would be best suited for a small ceremony (no chairs or big props or anything, just small, quiet and secluded preferably) - and does one need to get a permit or permission of any kind to gather a small group (30ish) at the beach for an hour?
Also, I'm looking for restaurant suggestions for rehersal dinner and for dinner after the wedding. Any place that would be great for groups? The more local and traditional the cuisine the better...
Thank you for your help! And if anyone knows of other places to look for this kind of information it is greatly appreciated! I can't wait to go!

Just curious about your logistics.......Are you an American? Marrying a Brazilian? If so, how have you done/will you do the paperwork for the marriage (since you seem to be implying you will not be there beforehand)? If one partner is Brazilian, usually it takes about 30 days after the papers (including notarized, "recognized" and officially translated papers for the American partner) are submitted to the local cartorio in the city where the marriage is to be performed. The question comes up on a lot of Brazil forums, so it would be interesting to know the details to pass on.

Yes, you need a permit from the city hall and pay a fee (according to the space used) to get married on the beach.
I've never eaten there, but Praia da Tartaruga restaurant is used to hold wedding receptions and it seems to be on a secluded beach. Here's their website:
