A European Paradise in Brazil
by wilocrek
"You can thank Bridget Bardot..."
...or not depending on your point of view. What was once a peaceful, quiet seaside village is now a thriving tourist hotspot largely in part to the fame and paparazzi that Bridgot Bardot brought with her on vacation that thrust Buzios into the hearts and minds of those who pay attention to what celebrities happen to be doing. Located about two hours west of Rio by bus this beautiful beach town is a must see for those tourists who ate looking for a change of pace from the chaos of Rio. Withs it's beautiful, serene beaches as it's drawing card Buzios has become the Brazilian version of the French Riveira. The town itself is lined with beachfront shops and cobblestone streets. There are restaurants for every palate and shops for every credit card, but the jewel of Buzios is the views of the ocean and the gently swaying sailboats in the harbor. Buzios will steal your attention from the worries of the world and replace it with a peaceful bliss that every vacation should offer.
