Hallo...this is me in one of my trips to buzios, this time I was with my great friend Marcio exploring the cobbled stone roads of Buzios and each stop had one surprise and one magnificent view!

Here from the top of a hill you can see the ebach of Joao Fernandes, one of the most beautiful beaches of the resort!

"Buzios - about, what to do"

My family and I went to Buzios in December 2004. The weather was perfect - it was very warm/hot, but there is an ocean breeze that keeps you cool. That and the water is freezing (for me anyway), so you can cool of in the water.
We rented a house on Praia do Geriba. If you have a large group, that is a good way to stay in Buzios. You even have the option of having a made that cooks for you and stuff.

When in Buzios, make sure to visit all the beaches. This can be done by doing a boat tour that lasts half a day.
Go to Rua das Pedras for dinner. There is restaurant (I forgot the name) that is an "upscale" food by weight. They have it all, including churrasco, sushi, typical brazilian food, italian food, seafood, you name it. And it all tastes great! I believe is on a street parallel to Rua das Pedras.

You must also do a boat tour leaving from Arraial do Cabo, checking out the boat-only accessible beaches. See photo. It is spectacular.

Buzios is safe, especially if compared to Rio, but you still should not "ask" to be robbed - don't wear jewelry, keep your money in a safe spot (passport too), and watch your credit card. My boyfriend only used his credit card in Buzios once, in a very nice restaurant (dinner for 4 was R$400), and when he got back, his card company called bc the card was being used in Brazil while he was in the US - they stole his numbers (not sure how that is done). Keep an eye on it, and watch your bills when you return home.

Other than that, have a great time.

There are grocery stores in Buzios, you can get anything you want. Pharmacies, clothing stores (nice bikini shops), etc.
