Scuba Diving in Buzios
We got PDIC certified in Buzios- a beautiful little resort town. The instructor we worked with at Casamar, Kupeo was the BEST!
Funny, patient, encouraging, and always with a good story. He made the class a great experience. Whether you are going to learn or just to dive, I highly recommend Casamar.
5 day class for two costs about $582
Búzios - Tourist Friendly Town
"Buzios Dive - Ancora Island"
Went diving at Ancora Island - one of the better offshore islands, where there's a small reef, but a huge rockfall on one side of the island, which provided lots of interesting nooks and crannies to dive around in.
Búzios' cobblestone streets make it difficult to walk without concentrating on your steps. The architecture is typically beach town, converted to entertain the tourists. However, the charm, the aroma of delicious Brazilian cuisine and the crowds make it interesting when you venture out at night for a meal.
"Don Juan Restaurant"
This is one of the restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide. Fantastic food and wine is to be found. Although my friends ordered a red Malbec (from Uruguay?). The interior is pleasant, and they have English menus.
