"Discovered?" by Brigette Bardot in the 1960s, Buzios is billed as the South American St.-Tropez. Walking down the cobbled Rua das Pedras and the surrounding streets, or lounging on one of the twenty-plus crescent cove beaches, it is easy to understand why. By day, South America's beautiful people shuffle between the many high end boutiques and cozy if not spectacular beaches. By night, Centro's trendy bars and overpriced restuarants bustle with the same beautiful people. Although touristy and overpriced, it is the kind of place that helps strengthen relationships - with all the feel-good shops and eateries and pleasant beaches, it is an easy place to fall in love or fall in love again as everything caters to good feelings. If nothing else, it is a great place for people watching.
