A bit basic but not expensive.

The Pousada Villegaignon is owned by an Argentinian who runs it. I stayed here because it wasn't expensive and the photos on the website looked nice but actually the pousada isn't that nice , this place is a bit basic. The rooms lack comfort, the swimming pool is too small and the bathrooms are also very basic.

We had some problems with the water as we were two days without having warm water and we had to take cold showers. The service was almost non existant. The breakfasts were very frugal, just some bread, a juice, a slice of cake, coffee or tea and a fruit.

Its location was good though, only a 5 minute walk to Rua das Pedras, the center of Buzios. If you're on a budget and the prices are still cheap, maybe it can be an option. If it's not the case, you'd better stay in another pousada, there are plenty in Buzios to choose from.
