Orla Bardot

The charming "Orla Bardot" is the strech that binds the Rua das Pedras to Ossos Beach in Buzios center. It's named like that because it has a bronze statue of Brigitte Bardot, who used to go to Buzios for holidays back in the 60's.
It's a nice place to go for a walk, specially at the end of the day and watch the beautiful sunset from there. In this area is also the point of departure of the vessels that go on tours around Buzios islands and beaches.

Friday
I started my journey a fridaymorning with a backpack, a bottle of water and a lot of enthusiasm. I walked to the local busstop and left Barra around 7.30am. I arrived just in time, to the busstation Novo Rio, located in the Santo Cristo district, to take the 9.15am bus to Bùzios. Over the Niteroibridge we went, and I also had time to snap some fotos of Rio.
I had desided in advance to stay in the centro of bùzios. So when I got there, my next task was to find the cheapest place to stay. Whiles` walking along the mainstreet Rua das Pedras, a man came to me advertising scoonertrips. Of course I asked him insted, where to find the cheapest accomondation. He showed me to the pousada Beiramar, just next to the place where the scooners leave. After I had checked some other places as well I came to the conclusion that Bairamar was infact the cheapest place to stay ( in centro ). I`m sure there would`ve been cheaper places as well. But I liked the location of Beiramar. I ended up paying 40R$ per night. The time was around 1.30pm.
After a quick lunch, I took a roundtrip to the different beaches with an escuna. It was the last trip for the day, which could also be seen on the tourguides. And there was also very few people on the tour. The price was 30R. In the evening I was strolling around in centro. Ate something, and cus the nightlife didn´t look so great, I decided to take an early sleep.
Saturday
I woke up early, took a breakfast in the neigbouring café and head off for the beaches. I walked from the centro right next to the coastline all the way to praia do olho( misstake).
I stopped every once in a while to do some snorkeling, but the water was not as clear as it could've been. The beaches Jao Fernando and Jao Fernandinho are very nice. It might also be the best place for snorkeling. Walking to the other beaches on the south side, you have to go quite far up on the hill. Also to the highest point at the eastern coastline. The view was really amazing, and you really don´t want to miss it. After that I arriwed at the praia brava with its red sand. The time was 2 o´clock in the afternoon and the clouds were stacking up. I continued to (on the map) a nice looking beach, praia do olho. When I came there, I saw that it was a nudistbeach packed with gay men! Time for a "retorno". One of the guys/gays started following me, and didn´t drop off until I reached the praia brava again.
At the moment the sky looks wery dark and a huge thunderstorm was clearly to be seen.
