Ppl here is very nice, friendly and funny.
We love parties, travelling through Brasil, going to the beaches and have a cold beer at any beach we have here.Go to Barra da Tijuca one of the most beautiful beaches. The seashore of Rio has many good restaurants and bars.Eat and drink well:
Barbacue: at Porcão
Cachaça and good food : at Academia da Cachaça (Cachaça Academy)
Feijoada at many good restaurants
When you are up to come send me an email so I can't tell you about MPB shows and so on...
You must go to Maracanã, Parque da Cidade, Museu de Art Moderna, to Niterói (many beaches), Indians Museum, and so on...If you surf go to Barra da Tijuca,Prainha. Go downtown to watch old architeture from the times of Brasil discovery. What I miss most in Rio when I'm travelling? The cariocas and the beauty

Cooling Off On Copacobana

If you need to cool down a bit whilst walking along the beachfront of Copacobana, why not do as the locals do and visit one of the many lamposts that spray misted cold water over you on the beachfront. Free and very refreshing.
PLAN AHEAD FOR CARNIVAL
by Adelia
PLAN AHEAD FOR CARNIVAL:
If you want to get prepared for the next Carnival, the best thing to do is plan ahead at least 6 months in advance, so that you can pay the costume in instalments. Also, they run out of tickets soon, but this is more for us, Brazilians, because the travel agencies get as many tickets as they can. But each year prices go up and the later you decide to participate in Rio's Carnival (to watch or be on the parade) the more expensive it gets.
SWEDEN AGAIN :)
by RafaelTheSecond
To have met this happy swedish family was a pleasure, and saying good bye to many incredible people was quite sad, but I am sure they will always be back, because Rio is a house for them!;)
