Fun hostel

This is a cool hostel, it has 2 really cool bars, organises some good trips and some cheap food nights! It's great for meeting other backpackers too! It's really close to loads of cool bars and restaurants and the main shopping street in Ipanema. Loads of buses run really close by so you can get around easily.
Our room was ok, although when we were arrived they'd mistakenly put someone else in our private room so check in took ages! And we were told linen would be provided but there wasn't enough for the 3 of us! And the room we had was nothing lik ethe pictures on the website! But those are just small complaints, the good stuff really outweighed the bad! The staff are really helpful and friendly. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the best part of Ipanema beach!

Hey I found a few different hostels in Rio at this site www.hostels.com . There are hostels on this site for all over the world. Its a great site as the hostels are rated and there are pics. You can even reserve online. When are you planning your trip? I leave in 33 days. Oct 4th. The count down has begun.

The best hostel in Rio is by far Rio Backpackers in Copocabana. Its only 5-10 mins walk from Ipanema and 5 mins from copocabana beach. The girls who run this place are absolutley fantastic and make a huge effort to take you out, introduce you to people and generally make you feel at home. Plus the actual hostel is pretty nice as well as cheap. Sorry I havnt got a link but I'm sure it wont be too hard to find them on one of the hostel sites.
